2023-2024 BASKETBALL Sponsors

We would like to thank the following community sponsors of Red River Rattlers Basketball.

2023-2024 Fees

Fees:

High School: $520

Middle School: $420

These fees contribute to essential program expenses, including tournament entry fees, coaches' compensation, gym rentals, referees' fees, and equipment maintenance.

Uniform Costs:   New Players or Outgrown Uniform: $100 If you are a new player or your current uniform no longer fits, you will need to purchase a new one. However, if your uniform from last year still fits, you can continue using it. The Rattlers will purchase the uniforms on your behalf, but you must pay for the uniform before receiving it. Once paid, the uniform becomes yours to keep and maintain. In case of loss or damage, you will be responsible for replacing it. If your player outgrows the uniform, moves to a team with a different uniform, or leaves the program, you are encouraged to sell the uniform to another player in the program who could use it.

Insurance Costs:  $40 Each family is required to pay for insurance coverage, which ensures the safety of all participants. However, families with multiple children registering only need to pay one insurance fee, which covers all sports for the entire year. If you have already paid the insurance fee for another sport, such as volleyball, you do not need to pay for basketball separately.

Travel Expenses: You are responsible for all of your travel expenses. Our games and tournaments usually take place within a 1-hour radius of North Denton. High School teams will play at the State and National tournament which will consist of multiple days and overnight stays.

Player Eligibility

A player is only eligible to play in the gender division that the player was born, as recorded on their original birth certificate.  A player must currently be homeschooled for the duration of the basketball season. “Homeschooling” is defined to mean that a student’s education is parent-directed and done at home.  As such, the parents shall be directly involved in their child’s education, playing the role of the headmaster thereby (1) selecting curriculum, (2) selecting and/or approving course materials and study schedules, & (3) selecting tutors, coop’s, teachers, dual enrollment options, and/or resources for their child’s education. Homeschooling would also include a person of legal responsibility for the student filling the role of a parent.   Parents are responsible for ensuring that their athlete meets the definition of "homeschooled" as defined in the HSAA Eligibility Rules and the NCHBC Eligibility Rules.  www.nchclive.com
